Welcome to Troop 176
Empowering the Next Generation
We are Scouts
Children have so much to offer to the world - we believe in the power that they hold, and know that they will mold future generations to come. At Troop 176, we are here to give them the support they need in order to shape them into leaders of the future.

We all believe Scouting is an important part of physical, mental, and spiritual development and we hope you and your Scout will have a great adventure with us! The 76 family has been meeting in Weatherford at Grace First Presbyterian for 70 years. Troop 176 is excited to start working with girls in BSA and continue its long tradition with the dedication of the volunteer leaders and parents like you!
Service Projects
Troop 176 empowers youth in the greater Weatherford area to reach their fullest potential through a wide range of services.  Service to others and good citizenship is learned through such outdoor activities as conservation projects, collecting food, building trails and shelters, and conducting community service projects that promote healthy living. Through helping other people, Scouts learn to appreciate how they can share themselves and their blessings to those in need. By giving service to benefit others, Scouts gain a sense of personal satisfaction.
Outdoor Activities

In the outdoors, scouts have opportunities to acquire skills that make them more self-reliant. Outdoor adventure is the promise made to young people when they join Scouting. Scouts plan and carry out activities with thoughtful guidance from their Scoutmaster and other adult leaders. Good youth leadership, communication, and teamwork enable them to achieve goals they have set for themselves, their patrol or squad, and their troop or team.
